Safe Home Ireland is an emigrant support programme, providing information, advice and support to anyone considering a move or returning to Ireland.

The Galway Family History Society West Ltd. has computerised genealogical resources for the Galway West region.

The East Galway Family History Society based at the Woodford Heritage Centre provide a family history research service to national and international clients whose ancestors hail from the East Galway area.

The Western Family History Association (WFHA)  is membership based organisation in Galway which promotes knowledge and study of family history, genealogy and heritage.

Ireland Reaching Out (Ireland XO) connects people of Irish heritage around the world to their ancestral parishes and counties in Ireland enabling them to celebrate, and nurture, a shared cultural identity with local Irish communities.

The two local authorities for Galway are Galway County Council  and Galway City Council

Helplink Support Services provide a free online counselling service for Irish Diaspora entitled Cabhrú.

The Carna Emigrants Commemorative Centre is dedicated to those who have left Connemara shores for a life abroad.
